Happy Earth Day!

It's almost the end of the day, but I still wanted to take some time and wish everyone a Happy Earth Day! I know that although I do quite a bit to be eco-conscious there are so many more steps I can (and should!) take.
Some of those goals that I'd like to accomplish:

1-use less paper products. Paper towels and paper napkins are just way too easy to grab, and SO wasteful

2-consolidate errands in order to conserve gas

3-buy less new product. Shop consignment.

4-remember to bring reusable bags when out shopping, so I can pass on the paper or plastic.

I Signed Up For PPP!

Woo hoo! I'm a New Pay Per Post Postie! I must have been living under a rock, because I only heard about Pay Per Post a couple of months ago. I started seeing PPP buttons on other peoples’ blogs and was intrigued. I thought about signing up, and finally did yesterday and my blog was accepted!!!

Basically, PayPerPost fosters a unique relationship between advertisers and bloggers. Advertisers offer up opportunities for bloggers to post about their product/service/etc. in return for a fee paid to the blogger. Sounds great, doesn’t it? I’m really excited to get started and stash away my extra dollars earned into the new (to us) house down payment/adoption travel fund.

New Night Diaper

In our quest for a great nighttime dipe that actually holds up, I've found one that I'm really happy with. For months after we started cloth diapering, Ella was still wearing Huggies Overnights because I was too worried about her waking up to a wet crib. For me, it's important that what she's wearing for 12-13 hours be breathable to protect her skin. Lots of parents use wool, but we don't so that lead me to fleece and it's a success! 100% polyester fleece keeps any leaks in-away from baby and never makes it to their pjs or sheets.

So my rave is for Starbunz fleece pockets. They're soft and comfy, super cute and we've had no leaks with the one we have. I love that they don't need a cover and are breathable at the same time. They have really cute animal ones, but I'm trying to cut back on my diaper spending :)
